Our Fashion Show
Each year, the Fashion Association at LSU hosts a student fashion show event in cooperation with the Department of Textiles, Apparel Design, and Merchandising to showcase original garments designed and styled by our students. This event is an all-student produced show sponsored by many local businesses. Our show consists of four main portions: Freshman/Sophomore designs, Junior Class designs, Senior Class collections, and Styling. Students present garments constructed through their curriculum at LSU, and this year we are adding a Visual Merchandising competition for students to create product displays. Our fashion show has consistently garnered support from the community and averages an attendance of 400 guests.

“The Fashion Association at LSU’s annual fashion show provides our students with a space to network and showcase how they intend to impact the fashion industry in their future careers. The people who work hard to produce this event put in countless hours of work with one goal in mind: making a place where students can create apparel-based presentations in a professional way. This amazing show could not happen without the support of our university and wonderful sponsors. I cannot wait to see what this year’s show adds to our department and community!”

Why Give?
The past two years, to comply with Covid restrictions, we reimagined our fashion show into a professionally filmed fashion video shot in the beautiful LSU quad. This year, our officers are excited to announce the return to an in-person show modeled after the fashion industry’s standards. Our 2023 board hopes to create an event that provides students with experiences that boost their careers after graduation. We are thrilled to expand our annual fashion show and would love to have you as a part of it! Producing this show takes a village, and we hope you become part of ours! Your gifts will go towards production costs such as location rental, set design, and prizes for winning participants.

Who We Are
Fashion Association at LSU is a student organization mainly composed of Textile Science, Apparel Design, and Merchandising students in the College of Agriculture at Louisiana State University. As an organization, we participate in many fashion-related events around the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area including Baton Rouge’s MODE Fashion Week, NOLA Fashion Week, 225 Magazine’s “Avenue Rouge”, and “Hemline for Hearts” American Heart Association Red Dress competition to provide our members with quality resume experiences. Fashion Association at LSU is dedicated to promoting fashion, creativity, and awareness among LSU students and the local community.
