SUIT UP GRANTS EQUIP STUDENTS IN NEED WITH PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE AND CONFIDENCE.
Every student deserves to feel confident in their job search, but 1 in 4 LSU students report a financial need. Your support helps students worry less about the costs of professional attire so they can focus on their post-grad success. Reaching our $10,000 goal ensures that 50 students in need will receive a Suit Up Grant in 2022.
EACH $200 GRANT PROVIDES A VERSATILE, PROFESSIONAL WARDROBE FOR A STUDENT IN NEED.
Grant recipients maximize their grant by shopping the Suit Up with JCPenney event, which offers professional attire at an LSU-exclusive discount. Every $200 allows a student to buy their choice of attire, including suits, mix-and-match separates, and accessories.
GIVE CONFIDENCE. REMOVE BARRIERS. SUPPORT STUDENT SUCCESS.
“I did a networking day with Society of Women Engineers and did not have anything decent enough to wear, so I just looked and felt awkward comparing my attire with other people's attire. I feel like I can now dress appropriately, and employers can take me seriously. This grant is one of the best things I have ever received at LSU.” – Grant Recipient
“There is a very extensive interview process, and I would like to dress my best in business attire that I couldn’t necessarily afford on my own. Thanks to the grant, I will be able to purchase these clothes.” – Grant Recipient
WHAT’S YOUR ROLE IN STUDENTS’ POST-GRAD SUCCESS?
The LSU Olinde Career Center assists students in confirming their major and career choice, identifying opportunities for building necessary career skills, and provides coaching for networking and interview preparation.
