What does my gift support?
LSU Rowing will use the funds to help with travel expenses. Making sure our rowers can get to and from daily practices and regattas safely and comfortably is our top priority when traveling as a team.
Help LSU Rowing with travel expenses
Each person who walks on our dock has a different story of how they got there, but we all have one thing in common, dedication. Most of us didn't know the first thing about rowing when we started, but we have grown together as a crew and as a team to compete in regattas throughout the south. LSU Rowing aims to employ our mission statement with every practice and regatta we attend. At LSU Rowing, we celebrate how well our diverse backgrounds complement each other and strive for one goal, one mind, and one movement on and off the water.
Why are donations necessary?
As a student-run organization, all our travel costs are paid from dues that rowers are required to pay each semester. Our traveling fund is particularly strained this semester due to daily travel for morning practice. While the University Lakes are being deepened and enhanced for future use, members are commuting to Port Allen several days a week to utilize a viable waterway to row. These donations would go towards travel reimbursements, food, and hotel accomodations for regattas.
